Roy A. Salaki †
Founding Partner
Graduated as a Registered Accountant with a Baccalaureate in Economics from Universitas Indonesia, Mr. Roy A. Salaki began his career at the Management Institute of Universitas Indonesia, where he developed a strong foundation and passion for auditing. During his time there, he contributed to a variety of internal audit projects and helped design accounting systems for clients across sectors—including trading, transportation, manufacturing, and healthcare.
In the early 1980s, after years of fulfilling work in auditing, Mr. Salaki transitioned into executive roles, serving as General Manager for several companies, including PT. Cotex Inas and PT. LEA Sanent, two leading garment manufacturing companies in Indonesia. His journey led him to partner with Ms. Irene Salaki to establish Salaki & Salaki in January 1990.
Professionally, Mr. Roy Salaki was a Certified Professional Accountant who took great pride in his work yet deep within, he was also passionate about education. To channel this passion, he taught as a permanent lecturer in the Department of Economics at Universitas Indonesia from 1977 to 2013, teaching courses on Audit and Internal Control.
Irene M. Salaki
Founding and Managing Partner
Ms. Irene M. Salaki earned her Baccalaureate in Economics, majoring in Accounting, from Universitas Indonesia in 1979 and began her career at GPU & Co. (SGV Utomo – Arthur Andersen) as a Tax Specialist. Over a decade of service, she advanced to the position of Tax Manager before co-founding Salaki & Salaki in 1990.
Ms. Irene Salaki is a Certified Public Accountant, a Level C Certified Tax Consultant, and a Licensed Tax Attorney authorized to represent clients at the Indonesian Tax Court. A lifelong learner, she earned her Bachelor of Laws degree in 2015 from Universitas Tujuh Belas Agustus 1945 and passed the PERADI Advocate licensing examination in the same year.
In addition to her consulting work, Ms. Salaki is a sought-after speaker in taxation seminars held by financial institutions and planning organizations. Known for her engaging and accessible teaching style, she transforms complex tax concepts into understandable, relevant knowledge for her audience.
Cindy R. Salaki
Partner and Tax Manager
Ms. Cindy Salaki holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin, USA. She began her career as an internal auditor with Ernst & Young LLP's Business Risk Services Division in Houston, Texas. Though performing well in her role, she realized her interests lay elsewhere and returned to Indonesia in 2008 to join Salaki & Salaki as a Junior Tax Associate. She has since found her passion in tax consulting and has never looked back.
Ms. Cindy Salaki is a Level C Certified Tax Consultant and a Licensed Tax Attorney. Committed to continuous learning, she regularly trains with the Indonesian Accountants Association (IAI), the Indonesian Public Tax Consultants Association (AKP2I), the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD), and the International Tax Center (ITC) Leiden. She is also currently pursuing a Bachelor of Laws degree to further strengthen her capabilities and broaden her perspective as a tax consultant.
Enjoying public speaking, Ms. Salaki was an active member of Toastmasters International and served as Master of Ceremonies for private events. A teacher at heart, she regularly provides tax training and coaching sessions for the professionals in Salaki & Salaki.
