Roy A. Salaki (†)
Graduated from Universitas Indonesia as a Registered Accountant with a Baccalaureate degree in Economics, Roy Salaki began developing his career and fondness of auditing with the Management Institute of Universitas Indonesia. During the course of his career in the Management Institute, he was involved in various internal audit projects, and developing accounting systems for trading companies, transportation companies, shoes and garment factories, as well as hospitals. Satisfied working as an auditor for many years, in the beginning of 1980’s Mr. Roy A. Salaki switched gear to work in Management position as General Manager with several companies, including PT. COTEXI INAS and PT. LEA SANENT, two leading garment manufacturing companies in Indonesia. He finally decided to partner up with Ms. Irene Salaki to establish Salaki & Salaki in January 1990.
Professionally, Mr. Roy Salaki was an auditor. He was a Certified Professional Accountant who was very proud of his profession. Yet deep within, Mr. Roy Salaki truly loved teaching and also had a passion for education. In order to channel this passion, while working professionally as a CPA, Mr. Roy Salaki also taught as permanent lecturer in the Department of Economics of Universitas Indonesia from 1977 until 2013, teaching on the subject of Audit and Internal Control.
Irene M. Salaki
Ms. Irene M. Salaki graduated from Universitas Indonesia in 1979 as a Registered Accountant with a Baccalaureate in Economics, majoring in Accounting. She started her career at GPU & Co. (SGV Utomo – Arthur Andersen) as a Tax Specialist in its Tax Consulting Division. She worked and developed her career there for 10 (ten) years with latest position as Tax Manager before establishing Salaki & Salaki in 1990.
Ms. Irene Salaki is both a Certified Public Accountant, and a Level C Certified Tax Consultant. She is also a Licensed Tax Attorney, authorized to represent clients with their tax disputes at the Indonesian Tax Court. A learner at heart, she just received her Bachelor in Law from Universitas Tujuh Belas Agustus 1945 in 2015, and passed her PERADI Advocate license examination also in the same year.
On top of her profession as a Tax Consultant, Ms. Irene M. Salaki is also a regular lecturer in taxation seminars held by banking institutions, insurance companies, and Certified Financial Planners. She is well-known by her students as a trainer who can transform taxation from a boring and complex subject into an easy-to-digest, interesting material.
Cindy R. Salaki
Ms. Cindy Salaki received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin, USA. She started off her career working as an internal auditor with Ernst & Young LLP, Business Risk Services Division in Houston, Texas – USA. Performing well in her job, but not enjoying the life as an auditor, she decided to give tax consulting “a try” and returned to Indonesia to join Salaki & Salaki as a Junior Tax Associate in 2008. She never regrets such decision and has been enjoying her life and career as a Tax Consultant since then.
Ms. Cindy Salaki is a Level C Certified Tax Consultant, and also a Licensed Tax Attorney. To deepen and expand her knowledge and skills in accounting and taxation, she trains with Ikatan Akuntan Publik Indonesia (IAPI), Ikatan Konsultan Pajak Indonesia (IKPI), International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD), as well as the International Tax Center (ITC) Leiden. Enjoying public speaking, she is an active public speaker with Toastmasters International, and a Master of Ceremony for private events. Also a teacher at heart, she regularly provides tax training and coaching sessions for the professionals in Salaki & Salaki.
